Estate Planning
I offer a comprehensive estate planning package which provides individuals, families, business owners, and investors with all of the essential documents for a thorough estate plan. With the exception of specific advanced cases, the documents provided in the package are all a client would need to have:
Revocable Living Trust
Unlike a simple will, a Revocable Living Trust will not go through the probate process, thereby eliminating the unnecessary delay (usually at least a year) and expense of probate, and avoiding the expensive fees, which often range from 6% to 8% of the total gross estate.
Estate Tax ("Death Tax") Planning
Revocable Living Trusts can also be very effective in reducing federal estate taxes. For married couples, the AB Revocable Living Trust, or the ABC (QTIP) Revocable Living Trust will effectively preserve each spouse's individual estate tax exemption amount, currently $3,500,000. Thus, a couple with an AB or ABC Trust can actually pass a total of $7,000,000 to their beneficiaries without Federal Estate Tax.
Transfer Documents / Grant Deed
A basic estate plan should also include the transfer documents and grant deeds that will effectively transfer land, properties, buildings and houses into the client's Revocable Living Trust. Merely having a trust is not enough; it must be funded with one's assets to be effective.
